But engagement is also not dead, AND it’s also not the be all and end all to every clients social media strategy.

As well as what other metrics you need to consider to determine the success of your content marketing.

I literally cannot escape this Q and while I have covered it before I think it’s time to have a lil refresh.

Firstly, if you use your scheduling tool [Meta or a 3rd party] it will tell you PEAK traffic times on platform.

This is NOT necessarily peak time for YOU to post.

The time you post needs to be based on your audience…. And not just when they are eyes on platform, but when they are most likely to take ACTION.

For example: my audience is small business owners, predominantly women and a lot of mums.

So my key days are weekdays as an over arching time block.

BUT then if I was to say want to post a sales post for lead gen, inside the week my best days for those posts are Tues-Thursday.

Where engagement posts are great on Fridays.

And forget about Saturdays as erryone be tryna enjoy the weekend or ferrying their kids to sport.

It’s THIS level of understanding of your audience you need to get to, dig deeper than when they are eyes on platform as a doom scroll sesh is very different to an active scroll sesh.

How do you find this out? Analytics can give you some idea but honestly it’s a lot of testing and measuring.

But also don’t get stuck on the nitty gritty, if it’s in an ideal window - like AM or PM that’s enough!

AND also what can you effectively manage? Bc not all posts can be scheduled some things need to be done manually.

I’ll always opt for done is better than perfect so if posting a reel manually at 6am doesn’t work for you - post it when you can. At least it’s still done!

From September life gets pretty hectic with clients on the EOY sprint 🏃🏼‍♀️, Black Friday sales 🏷, Xmas Sales 🎄 and more.

The best offence is a good defence and I HIGHLY recommend having a strong client management process to support you to NOT end up crying in the corner eating cheezels and drinking wine for dinner.

While it’s a hectic time of year, it doesn’t have to send you over the edge.
