Did you know that in the absence of value people always choose based on price?
So that means that if you are not engaging your followers, adding value to their lives and giving them something to show how much value you truly are then they will only look at the price tag and benchmark you against your competitors accordingly.
You could have the best value option around (and by value I don’t mean lowest cost) and unless people can see or feel how amazing that value is all they see is dollar signs.
For example, you may be a PT that charges a little bit above industry standard but your health and fitness package includes more than most, perhaps mindset coaching, body scans, free child minding, personalised meal plans, online delivery options for workouts. BUT unless you can show, teach, educate and inspire your followers about WHY that you are the best choice in a country mile it is pointless.
People buy you. Plain and simple. People want to feel heard, understood, loved and appreciated. A business cannot do this…… but a person can. Which is where you come in.
What is your unique value proposition? What can you give your tribe that no-one else can? What is it about you (or your team if you have one) that is going to make their client experience unforgettable?
Alot of people think they don’t have a brand personality. I challenge you all to say you do, it is YOU!
What is it about your product or service that made you want to start your business in the first place?
Entrepreneurs become entrepreneurs because they have a passion that lights them up, it gives them purpose and they turned that into a business. If you didn’t have that you would be working behind a checkout at your local retail store.
It doesn’t even matter if your business is 1 day old or 10 years old, if you have a vision, you know what your value proposition is and you get crystal clear on your story then people will be drawn to where you are going.
If you continue to add value consistently (and consistency is a blog post for a whole other day!) then you will never be short of fans who want to follow your journey.
When you are writing a content plan, make sure you spend some time adding you into your feed. Spend some time telling your story and share your vision. Let people know what your secret sauce is they won’t get anywhere else.
Perhaps this might be a scary to some because sharing about you, and not just the T & C’s of your latest offer, makes you a little vulnerable. But in times of challenge always comes times of growth.
So get on the other side of the camera, write about you and open yourself up to your tribe. Let them see you. As Dr Suess said (smart man that one) ‘Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no-one alive who is more you-er than you”
